We’ve had good food from here before, but tonight’s was a disappointment. The food was bland, oily and overcooked. Maybe it was leftovers. Ugh.
Living in Greece, I don’t get to Chen Garden as often as I’d like but I always have had excellent service and food here. Yesterday was no exception. And I was especially pleased to see they had a special of soft-shelled crab, deep fried and served with any sauce you like. I had them cooked salt and pepper style and they were out of this world!! The rest of our order included fried pork dumplings, sesame shrimp and beef in hot soybean oil. I am also pleased that they are more than willing to prepare dishes to personal tastes. Having lived in China for 3 years I have gotten used to authentic Chinese dishes and try to avoid the Americanized stuff.
Excellent, always very good. We have been coming to Chen Garden for a long time usually 3 or 4 times per month. The service is excellent and the food very good. We are greeted by first name and have become friends with the owners and wait staff. I highly recommend Chen Garden to any one that likes Chinese or Thai Food
WOW!!!. Truly the best Chinese I’ve had in Rochester!! Made 5pm reservations for Christmas day….was sat by 520pm. Waiter was busy but friendly. Waited about 30-40 min for food….well worth the wait!!! Ate hot and sour soup…shrimp toast…fried wontons…pork fried rice….hunan whole crispy sea bass (uploaded photo)…beef with scallions…sesame chicken. What a feast!!! Portions were typical family size. All the food was hot and delicious!! Price was completely reasonable (about $100 for all food mentioned plus four adult beverages)!!! Will definitely go again and will definitely recommend!!

Great food great drinks. All I can say is the food is fantastic. The drinks are excellent(Julia is the best!!) and the price is always right!! I would recommend the whole sea bass hunan style, or you can ask the chef to make it salt and pepper style. Both are very very good.
Not sure about this one. Just ordered takeout from Chen Garden. The lady who took my order was very friendly even though it was right near closing time. The food was ready quickly (ll order different items.
