Variable. Ive been to Dac Hoa twice. The first time the food was amazing and authentic. The second time it was ordinary and boring.

They’re grrrrrrrrreat!. Wow! My first time tonight and between the above average customer service and my on-point Panang Chicken I could not be more pleased. I am a huge Panang Chicken snob and this stuff was the real deal. The lady that helped me was so nice to me and I can’t wait to go back. Be advised though-the online prices are on average $2 less then their actual menu. It’s worth it!

I went for the Pho, but was disappointed. The lady who served us was Vietnamese AND spoke mandarin…pretty cool.

Not to be missed. Great little place with best foods. The duck can not be beat. Duck Pho, salt and pepper duck, or take a whole duck home. The owner will chop and prepare the duck for easy eating at home. A must if you like authentic Asain. (the Chinese is their weakest food, stick to Vietnamese and Thai).

Great traditional-style food!. Food is excellent and a great value. Staff is extremely friendly. Severely underrated Rochester restaurant!

Really excellent and simple restaurant. I steer clear of places which push greasy, sweet or heavy sauces, because I think they disguise a lack of quality. I was struck by how the food was allowed to sing here. Not obvious, but always interesting. This would be my first choice of places to take a visitor in Rochester, especially a fan of Asian cuisine.

Cheap and…OK. Dac Hoa is an institution so one can’t really say much more about it than that. Bare bones interior with a very friendly–though barely English speaking–owners/waitstaff (which lends it the authenticity it needs). The Vietnamese soups are good. But stay away from the Chinese dishes.
