I thought it was a great place to eat! I went there for the first time with some friends and had a wonderful time. The place is a little small but it just reminds me of NYC. You go for the food anyway.. I had the gnocchi Alla Romana. It was excellent! The prices are a little higher than listed on this app. I would definitely come back to rococo in fact I can’t wait to try more on the menu…
One of the best restaurants in Rochester and my personal favorite. It offers a simple elegance in its cuisine and ambiance. The chefs are masters and their food is beautifully prepared with a unique take on many traditional Italian dishes as well as their own superb creations. Highly recommend Rocco for its cuisine, atmosphere, and its divine butterscotch pudding.
Sorry to say, but disappointing. Expected so much after so many good reviews. Started with homemade ricotta which was nearly flavoress. On to the much acclaimed bolognese which was bland at best. Chicken dish was well seasoned, but overdone and the polenta was greasy inside. Service was very good with a very friendly and amicabe server. May have been an off night, but hoped.for so much more.
Perfect Italian Experience. My friends and I went this past Saturday and I have to say, some of the best Italian I’ve had since my trip to Italy last year! The restaurant itself was adorable and quaint. It is very small, but I didn’t feel it was over crowded. Dim lighting, candles, and christmas lights make it feel warm and just like an Italian bistro. Our group of 6 sat in the U-shaped booth which was perfect to talk and catch up; very private. They were featuring wines from Northern Italy, which was a nice touch. We ordered an order of the fried risotto balls and the fresh ricotta and both were delicious. The bread that came with the ricotta was char-grilled but it was really burnt. We asked for additional bread which wasn’t as charred. The gnocchi aren’t your typical gnocchi, but were delicious. The lasgna was also amazing. Our friends ordered pizzas and the pulled pork entree which they both loved. I would highly recommend it, and can’t wait to go back!
Truly DISAPPOINTING. After reading several reviews of this restaurant, my husband and I decided to treat my parents to dinner there. The food was awful and over priced. My parents have traveled all over the world and eaten at many fine restaurants; they say Rocco’s was one of the worst. Simply put, do not waste your time and money eating at Rocco’s.
Amazing. Best food in rochester. hands down
Our service was not good, we were a group of 6 it was our first time an we wanted to try a little of everything, so we ordered 5 apps, salads each and 3 pizzas the mushroom pizza was very salty, and the pizzas were very soggy. The apps were ok, nothing spectacular, for the cost I expected greatness, but wa not impressed and the service, well let’s say 3 times she asked if we wanted entrees we spent more than we would if had entrees, oh and wine he did not deserve the tip but we left 50
