Professional. I want the restaurant to know that since the new general manager has been there we eat at the restaurant more than we used to. The food is on time, she addressed an uncomfortable situation we had with a server. Things seem to be more organized. I am sure she deserves more than she gets credit for. She works hard, I see her always running around helping the employees. Comes to our table asking if everything is ok.28 Mar, 2014Accounting. I would like to take this time and tell the restaurant that the Manager Christina Russo made sure we had a wonderful experience at the restaurant. She came to our table to make sure everything was satisfactory. We told her the food was very good and the service was excellent. She was very professional and has a wonderful personality. We are glad she is your employee. We have referred our friends and family to the restaurant. We love the uniqueness of the building. It has a warm inviting atmosphere.
Hits the target but way off the bulls-eye. TRATA is the latest attempt at urban, upscale dining with prices competitive to your local T.G.I.Friday’s. Sadly, they hit the target but missed the bulls-eye.The menu, at first glance, seems like a dream. Duck quesadillas($12), fish tacos ($10), and wings ($9) that are supposedly brined for 24 hours, all of which caused me to skip the rest of the menu for a taste of each. For lunch, this turned out to be a good choice as there are only sandwiches, salads, and burgers to choose from. Want a different take on toasted cheese? Try it with swiss and gruyere on brioche ($11). How about a brussels sprout salad ($12)?I know – it sounds like my bi-monthly restaurant lunch just got it’s ass kicked, right? WRONG.The menu takes make you think that you’re getting 5-star chow for a 4-star price. What you really get is 5-star ingredients, 3-star cooking and presentation, and a 4-star price. On the fish tacos, the micro cilantro and mango salsa soaked through the tortillas – which were huge and empty, by the way, since there was probably one filet split between the three tacos. The proportioning of the assembly on these bad boys was all completely wrong. The chicken wings, while baked well, were nothing spectaular and the brining slipped entirely past my taste buds. The tortilla soup, however, was extremely good. The wine list and beer selection, however, is excellent and offers a very wide range of some of the finer brands and brews. My three companions and I faced an $80 lunch bill (plus tip). For that combination of price, menu, assembly, and presentation I won’t be going in for dinner. All in all, it seems like a pretty good place for happy hour after work but that’s it. For dinner, hit up T.G.I.Friday’s and pocket the difference. The diminishing returns on the check don’t make TRATA worth it.
It’s OK. I do like the atmosphere and decor, but the food isn’t great. I’ve been twice and it’s just okay. My duck quesadilla had way too much rosemary and it was very overpowering. My husband’s dish was super salty. The first time I was there I had the Shephard’s Pie which didn’t have enough flavor and wasn’t very interesting. Needless to say I won’t return any time soon. I think it’s overrated.
Very nice experience. Went here for diner. Service was good, food was good and prices are reasonable. The atmosphere is also very good with their roof top bar.Worth going to!
It was good but I expected to be more impressed because of the high prices. Cool looking restaurant, but will most likely not return
Potato skins – EXCELLENT. Steak salad – very good. Grouper – salty but tender. Fried chicken – ok. Sheppards pie – on cheesy side. Beet goat cheese salad – very good.
Great atmosphere, nice beer and drink selection. Large restaraunt but the way it is split up makes it feel smaller. The menu was unique with some staples to please all. Portions are nice sized and I can eat. I don’t like paying for food to take home but I don’t want to leave hungry. This was just right. The food was also seasoned and prepared well. I had fish on a bed of risotto. Not the easiest to prepare properly. Stayed for over 3 hours since we had the babysitter that long and enjoyed cocktails afterwards in the nice lounge. Will be back.
