Not as good as I expected. Love the nice shiny building that screamed diner, great entrance walking past flowers including large sunflowers, and the inside is pretty large with music to give it that diner feel. I was greeted as soon as I walked in. Coffee arrived in just a couple of minutes. After that things kind of went downhill. In addition to their nice glossy menu they have a list of items which, the way I read it, were a couple of eggs, bacon, sausage, and a griddle item. I went with French Toast. First my server didnt seem very familiar with the item numbers, and after a couple of minutes came back to ask again how I wanted my eggs. When the food arrived it came on two plates, one with eggs and potatoes, the other with the French toast. The potatoes were a crunchy disaster, the eggs were fine. There was no meat and way too much French toast. I suppose too much French toast is better than the other extreme, and it was good. Just sitting back looking at all the food, I was thinking that didnt come out anything like I expected.High marks for a neat looking diner, average service, not so good for food, mainly slamming the badly cooked potatoes. I didnt investigate why I missed out on the meats, maybe I misread the menu.

Up for an early breakfast?. The American Dream Diner is an impressive modern diner along Route 303 in Orangeburg, New York. The building itself provides an exciting experience, the stylish clash of 1950s and modern architecture will WOW you as soon as you enter the building. Family owned, this diner and the food express it. Any baby boomer would agree that this diner reflects a true American diner culture. American Dream Diner’s menu is quite extensive, ranging from burgers, to chili, seafood, lasagna, macaroni and cheese, steak, and much more. Like all diners, milk shakes are a classic; American Dream Diner’s milk shakes are to die for, expensive but worth the price. Breakfast is served all day and the pancakes are delicious. The chocolate crepes are a customer favorite. As for its burgers, they are filling and tasteful; you can’t go wrong with choosing any of its burger selections. If you are one of those who enjoy a wider variety of foods, the American Dream Diner is right for you. Multiple trips provide a great opportunity for you to try all their food dishes. Great place for college students and family members; enjoy your trip!
