I have been going here for many years. The upside is seafood at a reasonable price. The downside is inconsistent service. The Cape Codder is a good deal and the seafood I’d cooked well. We also got the lobster feast who had great muscles and clams but over cooked lobster. The buffalo calamari was really good. If you hit this place on the right night it is awesome if you miss it is average. Hopefully when you it is a good night. The place is always mobbed and the wait is long.

Our waiter was very nice and very sweet I just had to tip her the service well it was okay but she was very nice I asked her for things and she gave it to me. But overall it was pretty good for a burger and fries at a seafood restaurant.
LOVE IT. The best seafood around. Everyone I take to Gilligan’s loves it. Not a fancy place, however, great food at very reasonable prices. Pleasant staff. The sangria is fabulous and very reasonably priced also. Highly recommended.
Take out Tuesday is good on the seafood side, but the restaurant side is not all that – food is greasy – I’ve had a lot better
We stoped going to dine-in because the lack of service. All of you who stated the manager as not carring – I agree, he just stands with a sour face the entire time. Take out (pick up) works for me, we only get the clam or muscle buckets, the flavor is good. Nothing else because they do not know how to properly cook lobster or how to fry clams or calamari – rubber!. So we cook the rest at home for the full experience. The pizza was good, only tried it once.
Gilligan’s – Rt. 202 Pomona NY Lousy Again !. 2 lousy dinners out of 2 visits. The fish store is great but the restaurant screwed me twice.After the first lack luster dinner which was truly a disappointment, I didn’t want to go back but my wife wanted to give it a second try for her birthday. First of all we go fishing and crabbing and scuba dive and cook fresh fish properly so we know what’s quality. This second visit was a total Rip Off. I selected variety dinner for myself. It wasn’t cheap. After being served I couldn’t get a second wedge of lemon to save my life. The young kid waitress didn’t check with us to see if everything was to our liking. The restaurant was 1/4 capasity so she wasn’t swamped. She was sitting talking with the other workers. The tiny lobster tail according to the menu was cold water lobster. BULL. It had poor taste and had the texture of a cheap warm water lobster. When I asked the manager he said it was African with a puss on his face…. My shimp was obviously reheated left overs because they were like rubber. The piece of grouper was WAY too small. Come On, can they spare it? Way too small a portion of veggies and that’s all folks. They are history in my book. Stay away. Find yourself a reasonable seafood restaurant that doesn’t try so hard to get over on their customers.
A very sad day. I used to love Gilligan’s when they first opened, but I think they got to big for their britches. First of all, there was no air in there and the sun was beating in, it was very warm. Then, it took forever to get served. We finally got served, but the waitress and bus person never cleared thr the table until we asked them too. When we complained to the waitress she apologized and said that the bus boy should be doing this. I’m sorry, that is no excuse, bus boy or not, then she should have donr it. On the way out, I complained to the manager and he said that they had a big party with only 1 bus boy working this shift. Manager or not he should be picking up the slack. He stood around the entire time doing nothing. I will never go back there again. Oh, and by the way the food was not great either. I wish I could have been giving a better review. Sorry!
