Wowser. If I kept a car in NYC, I would be on the road to Hogans for dinner a couple of nights each week. As it is, I have to be content with dining there every 4 or 5 weeks, when in the area visiting my Mother. Pot pie on Thursday – amazing. Short ribs special – incredible. Chicken Cordon Bleu – yum. The specials available on Friday and Saturday nights are not to be believed. The fried fish platter special (shrimp, scallops & flounder) is done perfectly – lightly breaded, flash fried, and not at all greasy. Lovely staff and good service. My only complaint is the owner – he should try to recognize his return guests, especially after a couple of years! Fella – don’t overlook the table with the two ladies – we are good tippers and we have shared our appreciation for your diner with many others.
Orangetown Classic. I’ve been going here my whole life so maybe I’m a bit biased. However, I have never had a bad meal or experience at Hogan’s. The food’s great, especially for breakfast. The staff is great and very friendly.This place is a favorite of all the locals, and for good reason.
