Not what it used to be. Pieman used to offer a very unique twist on the same old pizza everyone else was selling. Before the new owner took over, the pizza had the essence of a deep dish style dough while still keeping its NY thin crust roots. To make it even more unique they cut it into squares. The dough was light and buttery and it the pie itself was nothing like any other pie in rockland. The only thing they kept from that recipe is the way they cut it. Whoever is making the pies now is just recycling the same pizza you can get at any other pizzeria not located in dumpy bar with 5 parking spaces off of one of the busiest streets in rockland county. If you are at the Valley Cottage Library and you have some sort of medical emergency where a pizza is required…this is the place for you. If not call any other pizzeria and if you must, tell them to cut it in strips.
