Delicious, beautiful but. But they sent out the delivery one hour before the wedding was scheduled on the Est Side of Manhattan. Do I even have to tell you what happened next? The groom was waiting to cut the cake and there was none. Then finally somebody arrived and dumped it on the table. Well we all have a good story to tell about the wedding. the cake was beautiful and very tasty. By the way, the lemon filling is spectacular.
Tasty Wedding Cake, Great Customer Service. We had our wedding at Tappan Hill, which uses Lulu’s to make their wedding cakes. Our red velvet wedding cake decorated with dog wood flowers looked beautiful and tasted fantastic. I kept the top of our wedding cake in the freezer so we could have a bite of it on our first anniversary. Unfortunately, we experienced multi-day power outages here in CT and the cake got spoiled. My husband wanted to surprise me with another red velvet cake from Lulu’s for our anniversary. When he called them and explained the situation, Lulu’s Bakery gave him a small red velvet cake on the house! Thank you, Lulu’s Bakery!
Love. I have been in this little shop on more than a few occasions to grab a scone or brownie before work. Everyone is always quite friendly, and it seems to have quite a following. I hadn’t, however, tried their cake.On the recommendation of a few friends that had, I decided to order a cake for my sister’s birthday. I, as usual, waited to the last minute to do so. I went in early Saturday morning, and asked if it was possible to have a cake ready by Sunday afternoon. They informed me that I could, as long as it wasn’t too ornate, as it was the weekend and I was coming in the day before. I was grateful at their accommodating me. I chose a coconut cake and (after grabbing a scone) went about my day.The next afternoon I went in and picked it up, and I was truly surprised. Even though it was simple, it was beautiful and they even threw in extra little touches. THEN, later at the restaurant, we *tasted* it. It was truly divine and absolutely merited the recommendations. The filling was so light and airy and not too sweet. Even the waitstaff, who we (reluctantly) shared it with were raving. Although it was a bit pricey, it was well worth it.Well done, Lulu.
Bridal shower cake was a hit. My job for the bridal shower was to purchase the cake. Lulu’s made it quite easy, we picked out a lovely cake and they delivered beyond our expectations. They matched our invitations and added a few bells and whistles at no extra charge. They do really nice work with their buttercream flower work they put iris, pansies and gorgeous greenery on the cake, and it tasted delicious. We had one of their signature flavors, the guinness beer ganache cake with crushed pretzels and salty caramel.My only advice is to call before you pick up your cake because our cake was to be ready at 3pm and we had to wait 15 minutes for them to write on it.Otherwise, good job!
By far the best cupcakes in the Hudson Valley! When it comes to birthdays, Lulu’s is always our go to bakery where we get our cakes! Highly recommended for all cake and cupcake lovers.
Excellent, IF……………… You don’t mind them NOT having what you want when you go there and IF you don’t mind it being very crowded and IF you don’t mind having to pay to park and IF you don’t mind having to get a second mortgage to afford their cakes, THEN…Lulu’s is the place for you.Their stuff is out of this world, IF you don’t care about any of the aforementioned.
Delicious cakes. The cakes here are very very moist and the buttercream is so fluffy. we had the plain yellow cake with vanilla buttercream – with specks of vanilla in the buttercream. the cakes here was utterly sublime!
