Food to expensive and not that good at all. And far too loud. I mean LOUD. Not from patroons but from the music. This is not based on a 1 time visit. I’ve been here at least a dozen times, only ate once, and each and every time I needed to yell just to speak to the person I came with. Most of the time just nodding my head although I have no idea what was said. Please please turn down the music.
Not good. I ate at Bombers (Schenectady) twice and got sick both times. I have not been back. The Albany location is awesome, though. I love the tofu tacos and the pulled pork tacos.
Don’t waste your money.. I had been a frequent customer since they opened this location, but over the last year… prices have gone up, quality has gone down, and the service has gotten pretty poor. As an added bonus, they seem to be attracting a new breed of lowlife customers. I won’t be spending any more of my money here.
I have always loved the food at bombers, but the wait staff is ALWAYS poor. Drinks take forever, taking orders takes forever, someone else delivers your food, and they don’t show up again till you’re done eating and they give you the check.
Cheap, good food. The Schenectady location of Bombers is more friendly than the Albany one and the food is more consistent. The food is really good for the price, much higher quality than what is expected of this kind of place. I go for the pulled pork burrito and the chicken wings. The wings are sooo good, extra crispy and large, with a list of special homemade sauces to choose from, all of them delicious and served with awesome blue cheese sauce. The Piggy Fries, cheese fries with pulled pork on top, are an excellent deal, the fries of very crispy and not shitty at all and they put a size-able portion of pork on top.
BBQ Chicken Quesadillas. Their bbq chicken quesadillas are amazing. They’re the reason I keep coming back, despite the fact that I hate having to deal with parking in downtown schenectady.
Great Wings! Tasteless Massive Tacos/Burritos. The medium wings are great! Probably some of the best in the area. The service is also pretty good. Its a great place to meet friends and relax, even if it gets loud.However, The burritos almost completely lack any flavor and Bombers as a local establishment seems to try to make up for this with size. It doesn’t matter how big the burritos or tacos are if they are tasteless and as dry as a bone. As far as I can tell, the only thing mexican is the name of the dishes because there is surely nothing flavorful about most of it. They should most definitely add spicy refried beans to their ingredient list; it might help with the flavor of the burritos and tacos.Another sad fact I suppose is that the mini tacos are not made to order: they are prefrozen and cooked upon request.
