Frequent customer. We order home made cavetelli, bread and antapasta to take home fairly frequently. We have had catered items for holidays such as eggplant parmesan, meatballs, antapasta, bread and cookies etc. We have always been happy with the food as well as the instructions to reheat. Our guests have always commented on how delicious the food is. The staff is friendly and helpful. We would eat in if we were available for the hours of operation.

Italian Ice and cookies are amazing. I hadn’t been back home in years, so had to stop at Civitello’s for a treat. The Italian ices were even better than I remembered, the flavors are real and fresh and nothing like the grocery store stuff. Then we had to take a box of cookies to go, they are buttery and melt in your mouth. I’ve not had the ‘real food’ but it always smells great. A nice bunch of ladies who work there you couldn’t ask for. For a real old school treat, you can’t beat Civitello’s. You can order some things online, so I had a couple of pounds of cookies sent for Christmas last year, they were a huge hit! We have nothing like them in the bakeries here, I had to fight the kids for them.

The homemade pizza is an experience you must have. Just thinking of it, makes my mouth water.

Being a kid again is cool!. When I was a kid, I used to walk down Jay Street at least once a week to go meet mom at ALCO and ride home with her. The quarter I was supposed to use for the bus bought me Italian Ice at Civitello’s, so naturally, for my first return in decades, I had lemon ice. It was simple, and just as wonderful as I recall. Just remember that, if you go in there, you’re going to be assaulted by an array of the most tempting, mouth-watering desserts imaginable, and next visit, I won’t restrain myself to just being a kid again… maybe try some grownup delights instead.
