Very affordable – usually I do tacos or tamales as lunch time takeout. I also stock my pantry with items from their retail store – they have a wide vatiety of dried chiles you can purchase in bulk which alone makes it worth the trip.

Ol!. I stopped here a few months ago to see if they carried La Escondida tortillas. They did not, but we could smell some good stuff cooking in the back room. They said they were making tamales so we bought a few to take home with some other difficult to find Mexican groceries. The tamales were excellent!!!The other day I stopped in to buy some tortillas and was surprised to see that they now carried La Escondida. The owner told me that they now use these tortillas for their newly opened, attached restaurant. It wasn’t a weekend or I might have been tempted to also buy some tamales again. The owner shared a written copy of his current menu which I’ll share with you here.Tlayuda (Mexican pizza) w/3 meats, beans & cheese – $8.99Carne Asada combo w/rice & beans – $9.99Burritos w/ sour cream, beans, rice, guacamole, pico de gallo – $5.99Tacos (various fillings) – $2Tostadas de camaron (shrimp) & pernil (roast pork) – $3.50Desserts – $2.50 Kalua Flan 3 leches cakeOn weekends only they also serve Tamales, Pozole, and Coctael de Camarones.I’m looking forward to returning for a full meal.
