Lunch. I took my Granddaughter & her mother for lunch on 6/28/15, I had a Pepper & egg sandwich, since I opted out of any additional side dishes the sandwich came out bare on the plate & while the bread was warm the 1 egg & 4 pieces of pepper were stone cold! My granddaughter’s dish (ziti) was also cold, I had to send her dish back, & she is 4 the extra wait for a hot dish was unacceptable, she was hungry & her mother had to give her some of her meal. I didn’t send my sandwich back but only ate 1/2 of it. When I told the waiter that the sandwich was terrible, he did the right thing & took it off the bill. Still I left Perreca’s hungry & out $30.00 tax & tip. The only bright spot was my granddaughter’s mother’s lunch was satisfactory. I will not venture back to More Perreca’s anytime soon, & neither should anyone else.
Just not worth the money. We had one good dish, one okay dish, a TINY pizza, and one bad dish for dinner. A lot of money for what we got.The eggplant parmigiana was off. Almost rubbery my wife said but unfortunately she did not say anything while we were there. The good was my pasta bolognese it had great flavor. Two sons ate their food but nothing impressed.Add on the garlic bread for an additional $5 and a great cupcake for $4.5 and it all comes to just under $100 with tax and tip.A lot of money for what we got.
This little place was amazing. Arrived too early for dinner, so had lunch. Mega Panini, Chicken Parmigiana was my choice. Very filling! My partner had the oh so delicious Grilled Tomatoe Pie Panini. Outstanding! The sauce, the right amount of roasted red peppers & artichoke hearts created a perfect union. Side of pasta salad, light yet full of flavor leaving little bits of olive in the bottom of the bowl. Perfection! Pinot Grigio was an excellent companion to lunch. I will be back–very soon.
Disappointed. For my first time there, I tried their chicken marsala, which has received favorable internet reviews. It was very sweet, as if they had poured sugar into the sauce. It ruined the chicken (little nuggets), the pasta, and even the mushrooms. The waitress said it’s a popular dish, but I don’t see why.
Look elsewhere. A busy restaurant on a Friday night in a town full of Italian restaurants. Not sure what the draw to this restaurant is! The food was terrible and the prices were pretty high. Macaroni and Cheese – pasta overcooked and bland cheese taste. Spaghetti and Meatballs – hard, taste;ess meatballs in a tomato pasty sauce – almost inedible. Chicken marsala: quickly cooked boneless chicken breast in a watery flavorless sauce. Take your $50.00 for three people (no drinks just water) anywhere else.
The panninis on pizza bread are great. Coal fired ovens make it authentic and make great bread. Had the Hot Italian pannini on half a round of their bread today. The meat was good but the sandwich was dry and needed something else.
Great thin personal size pizzas!
