They added new sandwiches to their lunch menu. I’ve tried two and hated them! So disappointed because I love this place.07 May, 2012Great food and great bar! Wish I lived closer!

Disapointment!. This restaurant is in a decent location and the idea behind it is solid but very poorly executed. The worst portion by far was the service, the waitstaff was unexperianced and the management was rude and incompentant. The quality of the food was hit or miss, the craft beer was good but slightly overpriced. I will not be returning to this establishment and suggest you don’t waste your time.

New head chef or lack therof. So this place was doing awsome and everything was going great. Place was packed every night food was flying out the kitchen everything tasted excellent then the head chef left to start his own place. They never bothered to hire another head of the kitchen and now its a constant struggle to get a decent meal I stopped trying after the 3rd/4th try. Its a damn shame I was really liking the beers too.

Great service, decent food.. The service here was quite accomodating. They were out of ground beef for the nachos, I asked if there was any way if they could make it anyway, and they ended up making nachos with roasted chicken for me. I thought that was pretty cool. That said, the food was a little precious. I’ve had better nacho’s at more ‘downscale’ joints, and my date ordered some shrip dish, which turned out to be 4 shrimp with some stuff on them, kind of boring and small. So while I was not totally thrilled by the food, it was ok, and the good service and ambiance made the experience worthwhile. There was a singer doing some kind of jazz karaoke, some of which was enjoyable, though it got to be a little old after a while.

Loved the beer! Food was good, service was ok. All in all, I would go back, if it were close to my home.

This is my first time here in many years and after many different owners. I ate on the patio. Great atmosphere. Good drinks, fine appetizers and decent food. I guess prices are a little on the higher side of going rates.

Performance venue aside, I have eaten Dinner at the Van Dyke 3 times since the re-opening. The atmosphere is great, the service is friendly. The food is hit or miss. Lobster quesadilla was great once, but rancid on another visit. Staff was sympothetic, but offered no remedy. Wait time was also spotty. Waited an hour to be seated one time after repeatedly being told 10 minutes. Bottom line: Way too inconsistent to recommend.
