Have been here with my family while on a wine tour for dinner. Firstly the ambience is pretty nice and the waitresses are sweet. The scenic beauty from within the hotel was very beautiful too. Now coming to the food, the decoration was nice where as no food had flavour. The chicken were awful but the pork and beef was okay. Dessert was the only thing likeable. The coffee was too good but without alcohol. If you are looking out for dessert and ambience I will suggest to go thrre but for food, you can get much better place with cheaper price. Our bill was $400+.
One of the worst experiences I have had in a restaurant! My wife and I were visiting the Finger Lakes region for her birthday and we were looking for a place to eat and plan our camping trip (with our cellphones). One minute after sitting down, an old man with glasses wearing a green apron (I suppose he is the chef/owner), started yelling at us because we were using our cellphones. At the beginning we didnt pay attention to him, but after a while he approached us, stood next to us and started complaining about the fact that he does not wake up early in the morning to cook to people who uses cellphones. He started to raise his voice and kept yelling at us after we told him that he should leave people alone even if they are using their cellphones. After a while it became a little threating and that is when we decided to leave. This is not the way you want to spend your time during someones birthday. Please avoid this place at all cost! Unless you want to have your meal cooked by a judgmental rude person with a complete lack of manners.

I have no idea what a heuriger is, but the menu is ala carte. Make sue if you want a bun with your sausage, you order it. The charcuterie and farmers plate is fabulous. Unique and great food experience.
Perfect.. First, I love the Finger Lakes. Second, I loved the atmosphere and staff at Dano’s. The food was fabulous. I’m in love with small plates and they took the time to talk to us about the chef-made, cured meats and cheeses and other accoutrements.
We came for the view and a glass of local wine and stayed for the food. This is an amazing find. If they can make two food snobs from NYC, one originally from Northern Italy, this happy, they should be able to thrill everyone. I don’t usually like meats, pickled things or Germanic cuisine but I would make the 6 hour drive from NYC just to have dinner here again. Try the Viennese Bento Box and Carcuterie Board to sample a variety of their offerings and wash it down with the Lamoreaux Landing Gewertzraminer 2007.
