Second Time was Terrible. Had one good experience and when we went back, last fall, it was a nightmare. They are very short of help first of all. They make you wait to sit down when there are plenty of tables. Then when they finally sit you, they ignore you for fifteen minutes, not even a glass of water. The help becomes very overwhelmed easily as the place gets busy and no one, no manager/owner even checks on what they are doing. I had bad sour cream on my baked potato, complained, and seeing, no soda or anything but water on my table, they didn’t even offer me a courtesy drink to wash it down any type of courtesy period. We had so many complaints that night that it was a joke, mostly the bad slow help. It was the worst service we ever had. I wrote a letter to the owner and she never even replied. Very rude.
This restaurant is wonderful! There’s a quaintness to the decor that reminds me of the ’50’s. The herb chicken is amazing! Portions are quite generous, and the side dishes are also tasty. Good value for the price. Check, to be sure they are open, before driving there.
