Don’t order the lobster mac and cheese. Went to bc for the first time last week. I decided to go with the lobster mac and cheese after looking over the menu. After two bites, I couldn’t eat anymore. The cheese was so sharp that is overpowered any other flavor from the pasta or the lobster. If you like sharp cheese, this might be a dish for you. But for those of you who like milder cheese, stay clear of it.

Wonderful Experience. After reading reviews and actually dining at BC I feel this restaurant needs a comprehensive review. We recently saw Wicked in Syracuse and had made reservations at BC based on great reviews from my husbands coworker. I looked at reviews on several sites and reviewed the menu before reserving a table for shortly after the matinee show. The menu is short but seemed to offer enough options for our group of four to find things we liked even if my early 20s kids opted for artisan Pizzas or a burger. We arrived just after 5 for a 5:15 reservation and all but one table was empty. We were seated promptly, water glasses filled and drinks ordered. I had the house red, a nice Spanish cab at a reasonable $6/glass. My daughter ordered the arugula and pinenut salad and I started with the seasonal soup: Creamy Cauliflower with truffle oil. Soup was smooth with spicy warmth, not ordinary at all. Salad wasnt to my daughters taste but my son gladly finished it. Bread and rosemary infused olive oil for dipping were served while we awaited our entrees. For entrees we ordered the crispy skin salmon, Angus reserve NY strip steak with train wreck potatoes, lobster mac and cheese, and gnocchi and truffle. My salmon was great, skin crispy and tender, with wilted spinach and potato. Steak with train wreck potatoes (try them) was also a hit. My non seafood eating son loved the lobster mac. It had a perfect creamy texture. My daughter however did not like her gnocchi at all. This doesnt mean they werent good simply that she did not like the flavor combinations nor did I. My son however would have gladly kept the dish for himself but the waiter quickly offered her a replacement. She went with pan seared filet mignon which arrived a few minutes later, cooked to a perfect medium rare with green beans cooked just to the point of tenderness without losing the fresh picked taste.Service through the night was prompt and attentive. By 6pm every table was full but the wait staff helped each other to make sure all tables were well served. My son was unable to empty his tall water glass, it was refilled so often.

Twice in 1 week. This is a winner. I took my boss here at the urging of a coworker. I was not disappointed. I had the Coffee Pepper crusted Beef. It was cooked perfect and could have been cut with a spoon. The Martini’s were generous and the by the bottle wine list was good. As is typical of Syracuse, the by the glass wines were blah. (Note to the owners, you will sell more of a good wine priced right than crap, and you wont piss off those of us who actually like wine.) Our waiter was great. Very professional. Liked it so much, I went back three days later with my wife and another collegue. The scallop appetizer was totally delish, especially the greens with bacon. Had the sea bass for entree. Unfreakin believable. Melt in your mouth goodness. End the night with Dark Chocolate torte.

Not ultra impressed….. Went for dinner on a Friday night….had 8pm reservations. Arrived a little early and enjoyed a nice (albeit pricey) glass of pinot noir. Bartender’s service was quick but ,brusque. When the clock reached 8:30, we inquired about our table….we were told it would just be a few more minutes. At approx. 9:15, we were finally seated. Perhaps the consumption of several glasses wine took the edge off so, we continued to wait. Our waiter was young and clearly inexperienced but, friendly. We ordered our food and continued to wait and wait and wait and wait….when the food finally arrived at the table, (at almost 10pm), we were starved. The food was excellent…fresh, well put together, executed perfectly and the only reason why I would give BC another shot. I am hoping that they work out the kinks in the service department so this restaurant can get the credit it deserves.

Unimpressed. Went for dining week, which granted is a cheap meal deal. But also a chance for a place to get me to comeback and spend more, which I have no problem doing when the food is good. Not certain my filet was even tenderloin, salmon tasted of char and fish, dessert looked like a Krusteaz bar mix and the cobbler tasted more of dough than anything. I know the Syracuse intelligensia love it there, perhaps it is the pompous bartender that keeps them coming back.
