They have a unique menu with a lot of variety, food is very good if you’re looking for casual fare. Best craft beer in Syracuse with plenty of different offerings on draught at any given time. Can handle any size party and have plenty of space. Service is usually pretty good.
I stopped in with the family while driving through Syracuse this evening. The entrance is below street level so it takes a moment to find your way in. Once inside it is reminiscent of most brew pubs – the restaurant area is separated from the glassed in brewing operation, lots of warm woods, nice bar area. The place is family friendly and the staff was very helpful. The service was good – courteous and efficient. The food was a bit of a mixed bag. The rice in the gumbo was underdone, pasta and fajitas were a little heavy on the cheese. The jambalaya was very well done. Beer selection was very good and the beer itself was above average. Price was as expected – about $25 tip in per person. Overall the value was decent but I’ve had better. I’d recommend it to others but not without some qualification.

Awesome place!. I went to Empire Brewing Co. last night for dinner. I got the Hothouse Fondue for an appetizer and it was super delicious, I split it with my boyfriend and was still full by the time my dinner got to the table! For dinner I ordered the BAYOU CATFISH BURRITO Which was SO much food and was also really, really tasty! I also split a pitcher of their IPA and thought it was really great – and i’m pretty judgmental when it comes to my beer!The noise level was a bit high but not TERRIBLY loud. Our server was very friendly and attentive, as was the hostess. The decor was fun, loved the windows looking into the brewing room! Also the fact that its all local ingredients was pretty awesome. Overall i’d definitely recommend this place to pretty much anyone, i will definitely be returning many times!
First timer. The beer was good, but the food wasn’t anything I’d go back for.
The Beer is Great!. This place has great beer, especially the coffee scotch ale I tried the other day. Yum! The crowd was a tad bit rowdy and annoying, but bearable.
F’ rocks. Amazing food. Really good beer. Went during food week and got to try their greatest hits. They all rocked. Local grind beer was amazing. Ate here 2 nights in a row. Actually stayed an extra night just to eat there again. And to see the fabulous woman bar tending again. She did a phenomenal job recommending food and beers–in addition to stealing my heart.
