Fifis is without a doubt #1 on my familys list of inexpensive kid pleasers! We are regulars there and being a regular at fifis has that small town familiarity to it! My son refuses to get ice cream anywhere else, probably because all the girls and the owner know him and his order! We special order the ice cream cookie sandwiches, and they are happy to accommodate the request and always have them ready within a day or two. I have a brain injury and often struggle with remembering things short term, they suggested I leave my number so they could give me a call and remind me to pick them up! I pay in advance so they are only doing so for our benefit, and they always do! They are without a doubt the only ol time- small town ice cream shop you will find our city! While most places loose the familiarity and customer care as their business grows, Fifis has maintained that wholesome atmosphere, one should be able to expect from this sort of establishment! Im with my son, Fifis is OUR ice cream shop!

Best Hot Cocoa in Syracuse!. Fifi’s used to be Kristen’s, which used to be (back in the good old days) I’ll Be Dipped. They were on the corner of Midler and James, but recently moved to the other side of James in the former Steak & Sundae building. The building’s had a makeover, and so has Fifi’s — they now have ice cream cakes, pastries, and hot drinks, and they’re open all year round. I stopped in for a hot chocolate, which they make with whipped milk (so delicious!), and I grabbed a blueberry muffin while I was at it. It was a super windy Syracuse day so I sat inside for a while with a book and enjoyed a lovely Sunday morning. I highly recommend this place! They have a parking lot on N. Midler, so there’s no need to struggle to find James St. parking, and in the summer they have outdoor seating. This is a great addition to the re-vamped Eastwood!November 2013 — I just need to update this post and say they have the BEST chai tea in town too! I ordered the vanilla, and it was sweet and delicious. Hit the spot after a long walk and a rainy morning. I ducked into Fifi’s and had the chai and a muffin, and sat reading for a while. I’ll have to come here more often!
