Best Eggplant Parmesan…. …that I’ve ever had in Syracuse. Bob’s desserts are heavenly –ricotta cheesecake, limoncello pie, coconut cream — the list changes daily. This is a regular stop for me and my husband because we love the food and the cozy feel of this restaurant.

Best Italian this side of Utica. We had one of the Dine-A-Deck packs and figured we would try a new place in town and ended up having the best Italian dinner we’ve had since we moved out of the Utica/Rome area.(which is known for their old world Italian) First, we ordered the Calamari for an app. Not only was it on the table within 5 minutes, but it was tender and served with some of the best marina and fresh made cocktail sauce either of us have had. She had the eggplant parm and coming from a 100% Italian family said it was as good as what she grew up on. I had the Chicken Piccata and the chicken was tender with plenty of capers, which only makes a piccata dish better. The service was terrific. Our server, Randy was cordial and did all the little things right. I didn’t even notice my empty bottle was taken away and there was a fresh fork next to us for each course. It was the kind of service you’d expect in a fancy NYC restaurant, (where I spent two years) but we were right here in Syracuse on Salina St.! To top the meal off the Tiramisu was…for lack of another term, speechless. It was the texture of a fantastic mouse and the flavors were so distinct…it was like no other desert that we’d ever had. If you’re looking for a terrific Italian meal that’s as authentic as you can get, go to Frankies!!! Prices are more than worth the quality of food and service. This is a must go if you’re looking for a genuine Italian meal!

Just opened back up on Sundays!. Haven’t been here in over a year, and I must say the place has improved since our last visit. They brightened up the inside with a new paint job as it is a bit small (maybe 8 tables) so it looks nicer. The food was FABULOUS and reasonably priced for the quality. Four of us tried filet mignon (cooked to perfection), and 4 unique pasta dishes that were terrific. The one I had was a linguine with a pesto sauce with sundried tomatos, nuts and chicken and I think mushrooms- very good! The fried calamari was cooked perfectly and the fresh mozzarella salad was delicious. I wish we had room for dessert, but we were stuffed. Service was super. We will be back!

Romantic atmosphere, friendly staff. Very overpriced. Food not good. Tried it and won’t be returning.

Just so so!. This is a beautiful romantic restaurant, but the food is just so so, and way, way, way overpriced. They’ll charge you $50.00 for a $10.00 bottle of wine. Spent over $120.00 for two people with tip. Could have made the same meal myself and saved $100 bucks.

The meal was very good. Many pasta choices to choose from. Small and quaint atmosphere. Call ahead on weekends. SU Students get 15% off!
