Food took forever and was really unremarkable. We’ve been multiple times in the past and the food and malts were amazing. Either it was a truly way off night for them or they have really fallen off. So sad… used to really love going. Won’t be back any time soon.
Nice restaurant, clean, fair prices and good service. I had their breakfast and really enjoyed it. The portions are on the smaller side but still plenty big. Would return again.
Late night dinner after a long 29 hour travel needed to be near, quick and delicious. Modern malt suggested to me at my hotel reception ensured all my wishes were answered. Tried the West Buena Omlette as I loved it having the combination of pepper, jalapeo, chorizo etc. Though not really spicy as marked it was very nice and perfectly made, ordered a side of Bacon which was well made and crispy as per my liking and of course when in a diner I can’t miss drinking a Shake, so there it was the nice and creamy strawberry shortcake Shake. The ambience was nice, the service was good, the hostess was polite and quick . Enjoyed my time there , place worth a visit.
Pros: nice design & space, great menu, Kubal coffee and Gannon’s ice cream Cons: hostess was bussing tables which kept her from doing a good job signing people in. We waited 15 minutes before being put on the sign in list. Also, burgers all come out medium-well. I ordered mine rare and it came out the same as my friends who ordered medium-well. I’ve been told by others this is an ongoing issue.Overall: I would recommend this place. There are some staffing issues that need to be worked out, but a great concept. Note for management: our server Michelle was great!
Milkshakes took 20 minutes. My family had been planning to visit Modern Malt for weeks. The website menu and pics looked like it would be a wonderful experience. When we arrived, we were told that they were not serving the usual menu due to the St. Patrick’s day parade. This left limited choices 🙁 6 offerrings, ugh! It took 20 minutes for milkshakes, she brought out drinks 2 at a time and there were 5 of us. The milkshakes were not cold. Our waters and coffee were never refilled. We asked about the sauce being served on most of the menu offerings, she said she would find out but didn’t have an answer when she came to take our order (35 minutes after we arrived). We ordered one burger without this sauce and it came with the sauce anyway. The burgers were small, served without any fries and cost $7. The waitress never asked how we wanted our burgers prepared, they were all different from medium rare to well done. Five Guys burgers are 100 times better! What a disappointment! The bill was also incorrect (charged for 2 drinks at $10 a drink) and it took quite a lot of time to get it corrected. Just a note, it was not busy just 2 other tables being served and plenty of staff. The interior was pleasing, but could never make up for terrible service. mediocre food and being overcharged.
