    Terrible Service, Below-Average Food

July 30, 2014. Decided to see what all the hoopla was with PF Chang’s while shopping at Destiny USA. What are people thinking? You are disappointing me! This was the most pre-manufactured meal I have ever eaten and I should have known better! I started with the Vegetable Spring Rolls. They were taken right from the box, deep fried – NOTHING scratch made about them, including the bland flavour. My main course consisted of the Cantonese Lemon Chicken. Again, right out of the freezer and into the fryer. I could have prepared a better meal myself from the freezer section of any big box grocery chain. I cannot comment on the service, as our server was overly attentive as he was training a new hire. Highly disappointed and I will chalk this meal experience up as taking one for the team. Will not return, nor recommend.

Although at first this place was a bit disorganized and the service not top notch, after my last experience I feel compelled to write a good review. Our server was excellent and the food was phenomenal. Great options for vegan/vegetarian and gluten free! I was pleasantly surprised.

We have been to several different PF Changs and they have all been consistently excellent. We were very surprised with the food served to us at this location. The chicken lettuce wraps color were very unappealling. The pork fried rice also was a strange drab color & the rice was not completely cooked. When we brought it to our servers attention, she said she had noticed it didn’t look cooked when she served it ( then why serve it???) & they were getting several complaints about it being undercooked. The Asian slaw with Changs Ribs was limp & not fresh. This location could use a visit from their quality control department

Skip it. I can’t even day an…. Skip it. I can’t even say anything about the food since we never got service. We were seated, given menus, then sat for 15 mins while the servers had conversations nearby. We were not even offered drinks.

Pf Changs is amazing, if you like noodles make sure to get Dan Dan noodles, they are one of the cheapest menu items and they are delicious, I’m hooked and have been for years!

Good service doesn’t rescue variable kitchen. I was ecstatic to learn that Chang’s was coming to Syracuse after becoming a fan from various and wonderful food in Seattle, Cleveland, and Asheville. My disappointment in the Syracuse franchise is profound. I have twice visited. The first time, a few weeks after the opening, I was willing to be forgiving of the soggy Dynamite Shrimp (promptly replaced when I informed my server), The fried dumplings that were lukewarm and not very crispy, the pepper steak which I took as take out for my hubby ( his favorite) – he gave it to the dog 🙁 The Sichuan Scallops were okay but not exceptional. The Banana Spring Rolls soggy though the accompanying ice cream is delicious. On the second visit . . . .The hot and sour soup was served cold. Again promptly replaced when I brought it to my server’s attentionThe Chang’s Spicy Chicken was not spicy and not very crispy. The presentation was not great – the rice was served on the same plate and smooshed down.I didn’t bother with the banana spring rolls but asked for the ice cream solo. it arrived, served in a warm bowl and partially melted. Once again, promptly replaced. the ice cream is delicious.I got a selection of Sweet Treats to go … ALL delicious and am not able to recommend one over any other: salted caramel chocolate cake, red velvet cake and chocolate peanut butter crunch. Try them allSad to say that the best thing about this Chinese restaurant are the very non-Chinese desserts.
