My first favorite pizzeria in the Syracuse area. Nothing fancy, humble surroundings, but great pizza. Visited the Butternut location recently and was not disappointed, again. Crispy crust, savory sauce and first rate cheese, and that was just the counter persons apron! Just kidding! New York style pizza is their specialty and they deserve their reputation! Can’t wait for my next slice!

Great first impression & pizza!. Wow, what nice people and great pizza off of Bridge street! Just moved our daughter to SU and wanted the NY pizza expereince, so we took the whole family, 2 grandparents, 2 college kids and us 40ishers to Pavone’s. We were NOT disappointed. The men behind the counter and making the pizza were fun and talked it up with our whole crowd. They were very catering to our daughter, who cannot eat tomatoes. Her chicken, brocolli and garlic white pie was delish. The rest of us had a meat lovers type that was really yummy. Plastic silverware/paper plates were the only negatives. Great family atmosphere and food 🙂
One of the best pies in Syracuse. Few places are as good. Stick with the pizza though, wings are better at lots of places (OIP, Dorian’s)
