Great food. Nice atmosphere. Only thing was the 40 minute wait on a moderately busy day. So do come here but be ready for a leisurely visit…

Just what you need!!! A must if you live here or just passing thru! Fresh clean and insane milkshake list!!!!!!
Enjoyed the Reuben, quesadilla, and chocolate cupcake. But the service is really slow. If you go for lunch make sure you have an hour. Next time will try after the lunch rush.
Great, even for non-vegans. I like Strong Hearts’s vegan chicken salad sandwich more than I like regular chicken salad sandwiches. They’re tasty and hearty, yet not overbearing. Milkshakes are also delicious.
Their Cajun seitan sandwich is quite possibly the best sandwich I have ever eaten. Spicy yummy awesomeness.
Ho Hum. My wife and I enjoy vegan and vegetarian food and whenever we travel we try to make a point of sampling at least one local vegan restaurant. The atmosphere here was great and we were really hopeful that we had hit on a hidden gem. Our first hurdle was the 30+ minute wait for a salad and a sandwich. OK… I ordered the mediterranean salad, which was a basic green salad with a few olives and really not much else. My wife ordered a noodle salad and enjoyed it. The 20 minute wait for these was too much. The sandwiches came 15 minutes after the salad. I had the BBQ tempeh, which had no real BBQ flavour and consisted of lettuce, tomato and a couple of half-inch thick slabs of tempeh. My wife had the seitan sandwich. Again, she liked it, but was not blown away. My tempeh sandwich was tasteless and artlessly made. The strength of vegan and vegetarian cuisine is its potential for creative flavouring of the raw material, be it tofu, seitan of tempeh. I was disappointed in the tempeh and have had much better. I make my own seitan and appreciated the seitan in the bite of my wife’s sandwich that I tried. The seitan was well flavoured, and the tempeh could have been as good had the effort been made to, say, thin-slice and hickory-smoke it, or at least glaze it in BBQ sauce and grill-blacken it. All in all, I think this Strong Hearts would benefit from streamlining its service, which was sub-par, and upping its game in the preparation of its vegan fare. There is a lot of unrealized potential here.
The best (and my personal favorite) Syracuse restaurant. Even if you swear you won’t like vegan food, I promise, you’ll love Strong Hearts.
Strong Hearts. Excellent idea with a great atmosphere. Keep your heart strong and leave the meat in the grazing field.
