Went here for Sunday brunch and the interior did not disappoint! So pretty, colorful, lively, and you can easily see the history of this church turned restaurant! Although we received good service, the queso and chips were the best part of the meal. I ordered the blue corn waffle and I had higher expectations. Overall the food was good and the mimosa and sangrias were great! Not sure if I would come back for brunch.
I’ve eaten at The Mission many times over the years and enjoyed it, but had a very disappointing experience last time I stopped in for Sunday brunch. I ordered a vegetarian quesadilla, they brought a salmon quesadilla. I didn’t realize the error until I took a big bite. I hate salmon, never eat seafood. The server apologized nonchalantly, blamed it on new kitchen staff. Offered to bring me correct order, but I just asked for toast (which I was charged for) and lots of water to wash taste away. Experience felt bad.
My clients took me here promising a nice warm Mexican meal to give me relief from the harsh cold Syracuse weather. It definitely met up to the expectations they had set. Two of them ordered for Fajitas, one with chicken and one with fish, one Burrito and I ordered for a Pork and Chile stew. All the dishes were nice, loved the burritos and the stew in the cold weather was much needed relief. Perfect on taste, ambience along with the huge American portions for the servings this is a place worth visiting.
Wonderfully creative and delicious food! Set in an old church, very cozy. One of the best meals I have had in a long time. If you like spicy sauce, try the green salsa in the squeeze bottle on the table!
By far the absolute BEST fish tacos in Syracuse! Five stars all the way 🙂
Overall OK. Sat outside so service was slow, waiter was kinda a prick. Tried to order quesadillas without something and said that wasn’t an option because they are pre-made…that makes me question their freshness. But they were surprisingly good. Kinda bogus chips and salsa arn’t free!
It’s great to find good, authentic Mexican in the Northeast. Mole, need I say more. Will be back next time I’m in Syracuse. Atmosphere is definitely too cool.
