I bought a couple slices of pizza and they were cold. I liked the flavor of the buffalo chicken pizza but wish the pizza crust wasn’t so bland tasting. Wouldn’t recommend it.
Best cheesesteak!. Best steak sandwich ever!!!! Great place to grab a bite to eat.
Don’t listen to the post below… people only think OIP is good because they have char-grilled wings, which are good, but their pizza is sub par at best. Varsity is not NY style, but one of the best in Syracuse if you’re looking for a thicker slice.
The only pizza on the hill worth eating. Varsity has the best pizza on the hill – it’s a Syracuse tradition for a reason! Love the feta tomato version, but the pepperoni and sausage is equally good.
Strictly Average. The pizza at Varsity appears to have been designed by a committee. Nothing about is is bad or good, just strictly average all the way around. The most average and least interesting pizza I have ever eaten. I’d suggest somewhere else but we no longer have any better pizza places on the hill; you’ll have to drive somewhere for a better pizza.
Not awesome. Whenever people at SU have a pizza party, they always order Varsity. The first time around, I tolerated it, but after four or five times, I can safely say that I really don’t like this pizza. It’s super doughy and greasy, and the sauce has a distinct canned tomato aftertaste. If I never eat this pizza again, it will be too soon.
Great food and prices!. Having just had a baby across the street I had more than enough time to sample the food from Varsity. I tried the cheeseburgers, the Reubens, the Chicken wings, Salads, and the Pizza. Great food at great prices!!
