GREAT!!. I love this restaurant! Although the area might intimidate some people from going to this historical gift, the food is absolutely classic. The restaurant is approximately 70 years old and still preserves some of its historical assets like wall finish and structure. In addition, the workers wear a uniform that is representative of old style fashion. Last but not least, the food is great, not to mention the prices. My favorites include the soups (chicken & rice), the breakfast like homefries with eggs and sausage, and the sandwiches: brisket, turkey, cornbeef, & pastrami, not to mention the cream cheese and jelly sandwhiches that are made with a generous amount of cream cheese on rye bread. I have lived in the bronx for more than 20 years and although a lot of things have changed, I love this place because it preserves its old style charm. If you are interested in the place, talk to the owner.
