Great Brunch. I went to Sugar and Spice with my two young children this week and it was a fun and great tasting experience. A friend suggested this place which overlooks a beautiful bay filled with fishing boats. It was very child friendly as there were plush seats that were comfortbale for my 4 and 6 year old and they had games handy to entertain them (you guessed it – Candyland!). There were also people of all ages there, young couples, fisherman, whihc made the atmosphere ‘Cape Cod-ish’. I had the Egg Special (with Artichoke and oven Roasted Tomato) which looked like a work of art (and tasted that way too). My son even tried the falafel, which was a first for him, and the best i ever tasted outside of the east village. My kids had the handmade jelly donuts – which they devoured. I had a currant scone that was so good it seemed like it should have come out of city bakery or Payard and not from a bakery in a maritime fishing village in the outerborrough.This is worth the trip to see this fun neighborhood and this treasure of a bake/bruch shop..
