Not serving dinner. Never having been to Fort Ticonderoga before, we decided to stay in town. Big mistake. Nothing to do once the park is closed. We walked over to the Burleigh House based on online reviews. Walked in, saw a big space with tables and chairs, and six fellows hunched over at the bar. The bartender told us they didn’t serve meals anymore. We left as quickly as possible and ended up at the Hot Biscuit, the only place open for dinner on a Friday night. Sad!
Diamond in the Rough. I was visiting the Adirondacks for some great autumn hiking and came across the Burleigh House on our way back to Fort Edward, NY. We were starving and didn’t care where we ate. We are SO happy we chose the Burleigh House. Not only was the atmosphere warm and welcoming, but the presentation of the food was above and beyond anything we could have expected. For a small town, they really know how to pull out all the stops on flavor and on low prices. The history of the place was so fascinating and the photos on the walls are definitely something to check out while you’re there.Keep up the good work and food!
