We went to Kotos this past sat a party of 9 to help one of our friends celebrate their birthday . It was a nice surprise for you to acknowledge her birthday, however for u to deliver the light up flower and desert was great but how dare u add it to her bill,,nobody asked for it, n if we did we wouldnt of had it ut on her bill. I think it was rather sneaky and it wasent a cheap for you to beable to do this.
Good hibachi, but way too expensive. Disappointed and will not return.
Hibachi. Our party of four dined at one of the hibachi tables in early April 2012. Our host was an entertaining young man named Kevin (IIRC). I had the filet mignon and shrimp. The others had similar meals. The preparation including condiments were excellent. All in the the party, including non adventurous diner, were extremely satisfied.
LOVE. This is my favorite restaurant! They have the best steak, chicken, veggies, rice.. of anywhere. They’re a little expensive, but totally worth it. The hibachiis incredible, extremely entertaining and the men that do it ate always very friendly and funny. I could eat here every day.
Good. I agree with some of the other reviews that it is very expensive, however it is still one of the best Japanease restaurants in town.
Not worth it at all!!!. If you like average food and enjoy paying too much for it, Koto is the place for you.Unfortunately, Koto holds a special place in my kids’ hearts as we started taking them there many years ago for their birthdays when they were very young. However, my wife and I quickly tired of their ever increasing prices and very ordinary food. After boycotting them for a few years, my daughter begged us to go for her 14th birhday. The hibachi table only seats 10 at most, but they squeeze in 12 chairs and would probably add a 2nd tier if they could. As other reviewers stated, the hibachi chef makes the experience and ours also made it unforgettable, but not in a good way. He seemed confused most of the time as to who ordered what & his portions were uneven. He was very sloppy and most of my rice ended up on the table and therefore rendered inedible. One of the other sardines at the table had him put her lamb chops back on the grill after deeming that they were not done enough. Not a problem, except that he used the same utensils to handle her partially eaten food as he did with the remainder of the food he was still cooking. Very unhygienic.Fortunately, I think we’ve convinced the kids to try somewhere else next time as we will not be returning to Koto.
We were told a 1 hr late 3 times. After a 3 hr wait we were seated but not before the hostess was rude to us because she was perturbed that we asked a few times if we were going to be seated anytime soon.
