Had a previous experience in another state and wrote this place off. I was jaded by the taste or lack there of. On a whim, with my wife we visited this place again and to my surprise I enjoyed the food. Service was a bit slow but we enjoyed the time alone. The ambiance was decent although the music was distracting. Some of the servers were not professional in their conversations, hopefully that will change.
I like this restaurant. The decor is beautiful, the service is friendly and the food is delicious. It does not compromise authenticity for anything. The serving portions are rather large, but there is no harm in carrying your leftovers home with you, so you can pleasantly reminisce on your wonderful dining experience the next day.
Place your bets!. Do you remember the commercials that use to begin with 4 out of 5 doctors recommend…? Well, none of our party of five were doctors, but 4 out of 5 meals served were correct, and 4 out of 5 meals were acceptable. It was nice to hear the drafts recited by our server included a local craft brew. Davidson Brothers Brown ($6/pint) was even served at a not too cold temperature. The ordered Kung Pao Shrimp ($11.95 lunch) was delivered to the table as ordered by our server as Kung Pao Chicken ($9.95). This was immediately called to the attention of the food runner (who had the personality of someone who had been up for 36 hours straight partying New Years Eve and was afraid if he spoke above a whisper his head might split). Our server was immediately there to the rescue and to insist that the dish be replaced since it was his mistake. I have to say that Ive never seen a replacement dish arrive so promptly. Excellent effort by the server and the kitchen. The Sesame Chicken ($9.95 lunch), the Korean BBQ Chicken ($13), and the Handmade Vegetable Dumplings ($6.95) were all quite good. Im quite certain that the Korean BBQ Chicken did NOT have any designation printed on our menu as being spicy. The online menu however DOES have such a designation. I mention this only because those who wish to avoid spicy dishes would not be pleased to have this kind of surprise served to them. Fortunately, the two of us who ordered the BBQ chicken enjoy spicy food and were very pleased with the level of spiciness. So what was that 5th meal that was not acceptable? The Asian Grilled Salmon ($19.95) was overcooked and very dry. The online menu says that this dish is cooked to order and cautions that it may be served raw or undercooked. That would have been a more acceptable alternative than what was served.Bottom line, you probably have a four in five chance of having a good meal here. No more bets!
WOULD NOT GO BACK. This was our 2nd experience at a PF Changs. The service was excellent but sadly we found the food was boring, greasy, and bland like the first time. We had the Moo Goo Gia Pan that had no flavor and the Singapore Street Noodles. The Rice noodle dish was not described in the menu as having cabbage and this ruined the dish entirely. The staff was more than happy to refund me for this as I could not eat the dish the way it was prepared.
This woman manager in clifton park played us an other couples waiting for a table we walked an were told 15-20 minutes 20 minutes came an noticed parties that arrived after us with 4-5 peopme went so i asked her much longer its been 25 she ended up saying i told you 45 i ended up saying you told told us 20minutes. We we’re not the only couple fooled. She is rude an unpleasant an she unfortunately doesn’t know her time well. Last time we ever come here again.
Mediocre. The lettuce wraps I kept hearing about were good as promised but other than that the food tasted pretty much like take out with lots of sodium. Service was terrible. My waitress was unattentive and left a tray with three sauces and walked away. My boyfriend and I sat there for a moment wondering if she didn’t even mean to leave it there as there was no explanation of what it was for. Also when my sprite was running the waitress decided to take the initiative to fill the rest up-with water.
