Food and Service. The pineapple with fried shrimp was excellent. The server need to learn skills. Eye contact and waiting for answers to your question…

Just OK.
Loved the chicken lettuce wraps, crab cakes and sushi with forbidden rice. However, the pad Thai was terrible… Awful taste and overbooked noodles. Spring rolls very bland too.
Worst oriental cuisine experience. On basis of reviews posted we went to shanghai grill for lunch but we were highly disappointed. The first impression of the restaurant with the reviews and ambiance made us felt that we are going to have one of the best oriental cuisine….but the truth was just opposite. The waitress who was serving us was very rude , we ordered the regular entree in thai which was chicken red curry and pad thai shrimp …both of these two were not even close to taste of thai cuisine .The prices these two dishes were very high but the taste was not even worth a penny.both of us were not able to eat the food (we hardly took two bites from each of these dishes ) as it was not fully cooked.chicken and shrimp were raw,the red curry was so bad that anyone can hardly have a spoon of it.It was the worst Thai food experience we ever had .
Ick and Eewww. 8:30 PM 5/15/12….. I just picked up Hot & Sour Soup and Beef Lo Mein from Shanghai Grill at 590 New Loudon Road in Latham, NY. The soup container emitted the foulest of odors upon opening, and the very cautious sip-to-taste was as disgusting as the aroma promised. Also, an unidentifiable piece of skin (?), or something, added to the general inedible quality of this Take Out basic. The Beef Lo Mein noodles were fat and soggy, and flavor was not part of the ingredient list. Admittedly, I find most Chinese places in the Albany region to be underwhelming at best, but Shanghai Grill was purely revolting. I cant understand why so many customers in this area keep so many bland and bad take-outs in business. I am a transplant from downstate and was used to lovely and wonderful ethnic food of all kinds being readily available as well as edible. Regardless, Shanghai Grill, Latham, gets 5 Barf Bags.
Well priced and good selection for lunch. Everything on the lunch menu was under $10. The service was good and the wait for food was minimal.
Was looking for a place than could rival Little Bear outside of Woodstock and this is it. The scallion pancakes are fantastic and made no where else locally. A must have! Nice place with attentive waitstaff. I never had to sit with an empty waterglass 😉
Love this restaurant! We dine in/take out here all the time and have never had a bad meal. Kid-friendly, great staff.
