Coffe/ No Restroom. In an effort to showcase the Rivertowns, I had visitors up from New York to view and exhibit at the Hudson River Museum.I thought this stop would be a nice additive to the day’s art outing. As the visitors had just gotten off a train ride, wanted coffee, what could go wrong, Antoinette’s was on the way. We got a table and started to order when a woman in the group asked to use the restroom. She was told no such thing was available to her. We quickly decided that instead of having a mid morning coffee and pastry we would go directly to the museum were they have restroom facilities. Hard to enjoy the group when someone in it is uncomfortable. We ended up in Dobbs Ferry at Cafe latte ( who has restrooms) to have our coffees afterwards. It is a shame that there are no restrooms for customers to use, probably helps keep the turnover going. Seems a simple fix, but not done.

Wish you were closer. Patisserie? This lady makes great bread and rolls too! I love Antoinette’s, unfortunately I am not the only one. There were several occasions that I had to forgo getting breakfast, lunch or pastries there, because it was impossible to find parking. Parking regulations in neighboring streets seem to be made up to prevent business. On warm days it is so inviting to sit outside with a pastry or a coffee, although there are some seats outside, the sidewalk is narrow, it would be so desirable to have a real inviting place this quality with an outside cafe, maybe closer to the center of the village, that people from the other side of Hastings can walk.
