Tired.. My wife and I dined here for probably 20 years. Maybe more. We stopped the night they didn’t cook the meatballs in my dish. That’s when I decided the indifferent waitstaff who we’re hanging out, chatting, next to the bar, and the same-old menu wore us out. So we checked out Cedar Street Grill in nearby Dobbs and became big fans. They are wide awake, creative, and very nice to do business with.
MAUD’S TAVERN. Maud’s Tavern is one of my favorites. Maud is always in the kitchen, but will stop to say hello and gets to know her clients, The food has been conisistently good. My favorites are the Shepherd’s pie, beef stew, grilled chicken salad with sesame noodles and vegtables, terrific pasta and turkey burgers. Be sure to try the French fries Maud has a secret recipe, and they have a light and fluffy crust — I’ve never tasted anything like them.. Wonderful desserts. Maud’s is also handicapped accessible with a ramp in front..
