One of our favorite places!Muza has everything you look for in a restaurant. Great food, a style of its own, great service, and in this case, reasonable prices. How refreshing is it to order a beer these days and NOT be charged $9?Polish food, well prepared and represented. Really flavorful and put together with attention. Some will say a limited menu but we feel it’s stylized, focused and a reflection of the owners/chefs vision. We’ve probably eaten there 20x and never been disappointed. The wiener schnitzel is a fave of my kids as well. The upstairs bar also has style. Save space and time to try that as well. Enjoy!

This is the food that my mother and grandmother would feed us, kielbasa, pierogi, stuffed cabbage (golombki/halupki), potato pancakes, goulash, and sauted cabbage (kapusta). Maybe we didnt get all that in a single meal, but this night was going to be a special treat.A handful of foodies had agreed to gather at Muza for a sampling of their various offerings. As we looked over the menu it appeared that we were in unanimous agreement we wanted to try EVERYTHING. The only remaining question was how should we place our order? There was a Polish Sampler plate, a Polish Feast dish, a Polish combination Plate, and of course, la carte. Fearing that we might end up over ordering some item(s) we turned to our friendly server. She quickly understood our dilemma and said not to worry, she would see that we had enough for each of us to try some of everything.I recall that two of us ordered beers (one Zywiec from Poland and a Sierra Nevada Torpedo for me), and the others, I think, had non-alcoholic drinks. We started our feast by sharing a bowl of the Hungarian Goulash. We knew we needed to leave room for a lot more food. The goulash had large and tender chunks of flavorful beef with potatoes, red pepper and onions. Excellent start!Everything kind of came out at once after we finished the goulash. We were given a combination of both sauted and simply boiled pierogi, filled with a potato, cheese, and onion mixture. I only tried the sauted, and I recall someone at the end of the meal saying they enjoyed the boiled pierogi the best of everything. I was more than satisfied with the quality of the pierogi, but one of our group would have preferred a thinner dough wrapper. There was no disagreement that they were delicious, however.Another person had said at the end of the dinner that their favorite of the evening was the kielbasa. I enjoyed it also, as it was not overly fatty and had a reasonable amount of smokiness. The sauted cabbage was served separately in a bowl, according to our server, so that we could enjoy its juices without having the juice left on our plate and mixed into the other foods. The cabbage had bits of either carrot of pepper and some parsley I think. It was not sour like my Mom made, and for that reason I really enjoyed it.The stuffed cabbage was filled with a combination of pork, beef, and rice, not unlike my Moms except Mom would have had less rice (my mother-in-law would have had more rice). The menu says topped with tomato sauce and that scares me. We never had ours with tomato, they were simply steamed or steamed with vinegar. When I read tomato sauce I think of an Italian dish with a heavy or chunky tomato sauce. But that is not the case here. The sauce is thin and doesnt overpower the flavors of the meat and cabbage. Another delicious item!I saved the potato pancake for last because it was my, and at least one other persons, favorite of the entire meal. Each is a nice thick patty of shaved potato, with maybe some grated onion mixed in, pan fried until golden brown. I loved those as a kid and my tastes havent changed. As a side note, the menu offers under the Beef heading a Muza Special. I had this a few years ago and it is fantastic stewed beef goulash sandwiched between two large potato pancakes, topped with beef gravy and a side of sauerkraut. They say its a crowd favorite and I can understand why. There are a few more items available that we didnt have, such as crepes, chicken, beef, pork and fish dishes. Bottled beer and wine selections are limited. Our service was excellent. Everything is made to order, so plan on sitting back and enjoying yourself. I think our bill came to $23/person including tax and tip.
