Gyro Heaven!. This place has THE BEST gyro in the world! Well, at least the best this side of Greece methinks. Also, try the Baklava (probably spelled that wrong). Prices are reasonable and the place is quaint. Very authentic Greek food.

Good Eats!. Stopped in with hubby for appetizers & wine. The owner helped us with pronunciations. Had 3 spreads with pita and Medezakia with feta, olives, stuffed grape leaves, pita. The food was fresh, beautifully presented. The restaurant is well decorated, clean and comfortable. On street parking was easy.

Good food. The food is good but they need to lose the annoying music! Maybe go for take-out instead!

Just as good the 2nd time around. We arrived at 5:30 meeting a friend that we hadn’t seen in a long time so lots of talking was taking place instead of studying the menu. No other customers were there, but the hostess/waitress was still accommodating allowing us a taste of a wine unfamiliar to us and letting us talk and catch up on old times over our drinks. We shared a couple of appetizers; the Spanakopita was nicely prepared in puffy pastry while the Hummus and Onion Dip was delicious with fresh warmed pita. Our friend ordered a Pasta special of the evening with a Bchamel sauce. My wife had the Sword Fish Shish Kabob special of the evening, and I had the Pork Shish Kabob. The shish kabob dinners came with a Greek salad and roasted lemon potatoes. Even though the pasta did not come with salad and potatoes, when we inquired, our server was happy to provide them for our companion. Everyone enjoyed their meals, and I’ll add that those lemon potatoes were extra good.By the time we left, 3 hours later, the restaurant was filled with people. You’re treated like you are eating at home here. There’s a real nice warm and friendly feeling. Our total bill before tip was $75.60.09 Sep, 2011Glad that it’s all Greek to me!. For a Mom and Pop style restaurant you can’t ask for more. Arrived about 5:45 to an empty restaurant. It probably doesn’t seat more than 30 patrons. We were offered the table for two in the front window. Always a smart move for advertising to the folks walking and driving by on the street. Even though the menu is only one page long, there were enough items that had us trying to decide which flavors we wanted to delve into.I thought if I ordered The Original Gyro ($7.25) with an added side of Greek fries ($2.25) then I’d have room to have my own appetizer instead of sharing one. But that idea went out the window when our friendly waitress told us there were a couple of specials tonight. There were Stuffed Peppers available, either w/ or w/o ground beef. There was also a Lemon half of a Chicken served with a side of Lemon Potatoes and a Greek Salad.Figuring I could always take home what I didn’t finish, we opted for the vegetarian Stuffed Peppers for my wife and the Lemon Chicken for me (combined price about $23.50). For appetizers we chose the Dolmadakia ($5.50) and Spanakopita Puffs ($6.25). Now that they have a beer and wine license, my wife wanted a glass of white wine. But they didn’t have a printed wine list yet (the cook promised the waitress she would have one tomorrow) so the waitress had my wife walk over to where the wines were on display to choose one. I can’t tell you which she selected, but she said it was a middle of the road wine ($6). Their beers were as standard as you can get except for a Greek beer Mythos ($5) which I was willing to try. There were 5 stuffed grape leaves in an order with a sauce drizzled over them. They were moist and tasty. There were 5 puffs in the Spanakopita order and they were hot, flaky, delicious and addictive. Two green bell peppers were stuffed full of chopped veggies with a tomato and mint flavor. These were as good as any stuffed peppers I’ve had elsewhere, including from my wife and my Mom.The half chicken was roasted until tender and remained moist. The lemon flavor was not overpowering, which was a good thing because the lemon potatoes had even more lemon flavor along with oregano.A special note on the Greek salad. Our server explained to us that a typical Greek salad does not have any lettuce in it, just tomatoes, cukes, onions, peppers, oil and vinegar. She was telling us this because many people are accustomed to having a salad with lots of iceberg lettuce. While they don’t keep any iceberg in the restaurant, she was willing to add a bit of Romaine if we thought we needed to have some greens in our salad – we didn’t.I had been looking forward to having some Baklava ($4.50) to end the meal. But once again, our waitress, while describing a different desert, Saragli ($2.75), a nut roll with chocolate drizzled over it, caused me to say that sounded too good to pass up It was a fine finish to a totally enjoyable meal. There is one table on the sidewalk for those who might want to dine al fresco, There is also a sign indicating WiFi is available. I should conclude by saying there were no leftovers and we’ll return.
