You cannot beat Verdiles Italian Restaurant in Troy.At the bistro, there was not one thing to pick on when we were waiting for our meals. No bread, not even salt and pepper on the table.We get so much at Verdiles. Delicious Italian bread. Immediate attention. Hot fresh meals.God Bless Verdiles.

    Semi-regular lunch stop. I’ve been here several times now and I’ve gotten a couple different things. It’s definitely classic Italian-American fare, the kind of restaurant that was on every other corner when I was growing up on the outskirts of Boston, but is almost impossible to find nowadays. Solid veal & chicken parm; marinara is on the bland side, but it always is in these types of places (clientele is almost exclusively retirees). I usually sit at the bar for lunch, very quick service, warm bread when they take your order, and now I always get the same thing, Veal and Peppers. Slowly braised veal chunks and peppers in their sauce, which definitely gives the marinara a much needed kick, and served over pasta. At under $8, it sure beats a Moe’s burrito hands down.

    We love almost everything about Verdiles with two exceptions; tarter sauce that is too oily, and coleslaw that consistently lacks in flavor.

    There is a very good reason why Verdiles has been around for 70 years– it is full of old fashion southern Italian food and great service.

    Sauce is pitiful and unfortunately is goes on everything. Veal parm tasted processed with way too much breading.
