Wouldn’t recommend it. The greens were lacking flavor and any fried food is black like they hadn’t change the oil since they first opened their doors. Had a special sandwich. It was dry and the sauce from the table was not great.
Great wedding caterer!. Steve and his team at Hickory BBQ catered our wedding at Mount Gulian Historic Site, and they were amazing! Everyone was extremely helpful – the team was organized and executed very well. The food was delicious too. We had the 48 hour smoked chicken and hanger steak with pasta salad, mashed potatoes, mac & cheese, and green beans served family style. We (including all of the guests) loved every bit of it. I would suggest Hickory BBQ to anyone who wants a delicious and cozy meal for their wedding (or family party or just to go to the restaurant in Kingston)!

RUN AWAY. Shame on whoever runs that place food was BAD!! Friend rented out room for a wedding party me and guy across table both spit out the chicked they served. Owner wanted the music turned down?? At a wedding party?? Then after 3 hours just wanted every body OUT?? Do not rent party room from this place.
Carbon Breath. I thought the first time i went that it may have been just an off day for the cook. My family and I went on a couple of occasions…but the result is the same every time. The food all tasted the same! Even the beans were like kinda hard and tasted like you were eating charcoal briquettes…it all tasted the same…with no variety…the only good thing was the maple butter and the rolls. We went to the Rib Fest and tried them there with my Aunt and Uncle and we were all disappointed there too!
Horrible. I have never had to work so hard to chew the meat off a rib in all my life! They were the toughest, driest ribs I ever attempted to eat. Ribs are supposed to be cooked slooooowwwwly, and the meat should be tender. These things were quick charred and not edible.
