Been going there for years just for the burgers. Best burgers ever!
Food with some history. The history here is from the building, it’s from the 1800’s so it has that charming old feel to it. One thing though, I think the chairs must be from the 1800’s also because they were very uncomfortable. But everything else was enjoyable and our waitress was very nice and attentive. I got the skirt steak which was good, it came with asparagus and mashed potatoes, the potatoes were ok. Others enjoyed the burgers (that was really good), the veggie burger and 2 varieties of stuffed chicken. For appetizers we got a stuffed portabello mushroom (really good) and fried calamari, the calamari was fried nice and crisp but I didn’t really care for the marinara sauce that came with it. I didn’t drink because I was the designated driver and we had a long ride home. One note again about the building is that it used to be painted a distintive color blue and now that have painted it some drab off white (I think it was off white, it was getting dark by the time we got there, but I know for sure it was some boring color), this building has alot of character, so should the color of it.
Great burgers! and other stuff too!. So many choices – and all are good! Burgers are juicy and huge! Many toppings to pick from. Sweet potato fries are awesome! Chicken Laura – a special I think – is worth checking out. Very good. Worth a stop.
Views of the Hudson and Sam Adams seasonal ales on tap. Huge burgers and a grilled ham-and-mozzarella to die for – and real onion rings.
