This was some of the freshest fish Ive had anywhere. It is a little pricy for the portions, but when you taste what they serve you , youll be very happy to pay. Yes, the place is tiny , so reservations are recommended. Cant wait to go back. If there were half stars it would be a 4.5 or 4.75. Terrific!
Absolutely the freshest sushi/ sahimi in the Hudson valley. I have dined here a number of times and I have never been disappointed. Chef makio’s cuisine is as creative and delicious as any of the top restaurants in the city…maybe better .
Surprisingly good! Excellent choice of rolls, everything was super-fresh and first-rate. Would never expect such good sushi in Kingston.
The best sushi I’ve ever had.. Chef Makio simply makes the best sushi I’ve ever tasted, including sushi from top-rated restaurants in San Francisco, Manhattan and Fort Lee, NJ.
Makio returns for an encore.. Master chef Makio Idesako’s cozy new space in Kingston seats 26 patrons, including six at the sushi bar. Try the Omakase – Chef’s Choice – for a whirlwind tour of his most creative offerings. Makio is one of the Hudson Valley’s finest practitioners of this classic Japanese culinary art. northcountryrambler.com
