Favorite!. TRH is our favorite Chain, I have only been to this one and have NEVER been dissapinted. The waitstaff is great and we love the food. I also love how they have small steaks on the Kids Menu, my Son loves steak, but I don’t want to pay $15 for an 8year olds meal. My favorite items are the Chicken Critters and the Rice, we also love the burgers. I just wish I lived closer!
FAR from Texas … The refrigerated deli-case (butcher display) near the entrance is a nice gimmick, not an original one, but still a nice conceptual element — where you can theoretically preview and select your steak in advance. The overall concept tends to get much less-focused from there. For example it would be nice if you could remain this focused on your steak (or food), but the general atmosphere ranges from loudly distracting to downright annoying .. and what’s with all the sports bar TV monitors blaring? .. well, I’ve seen Texas, and Texas Roadhouses, and this is a long ways from Texas (which would still be O.K., in the way that the Outback Steakhouses are a long way from Australia; but Outback is very focused, and will leave you in peace to enjoy your meal). For the record, the chain has absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with Texas — except their claim to a concept that they actually have very little concept of; and is based in Louisville, Kentucky. Remaining in their favor though, is the fact that you CAN select (or order off the Menu) LARGER steaks here than the wimpy-sized pre-cuts which are typically offered up on the menus of many chain restaurants.
Even though it’s a chain, their steaks are better than $30 steaks I’ve had at most upscale places. Happy hour is great as well.
Ribs are great the food overall is good. Been to the Texas Road House in a few cities they are all loud with pretty good food. Service is up and down.
Great food and atmoshpere. Rolls are to die for and apple butter is amazing
Great food and nice pricing I’m sure the complaint below is isolated…..but people are people
Ribs were cold and my beer was warm. Correct me if I am wrong, but shouldn’t it be the other way around?
