Rude as hell, owner and manager embarrassed me in front of friends. The food was decent, i won’t complain there. But they refused to take a valid gift certificate. The manager came over and said that the owner said no, and when I approached the owner he was sitting at a table and would not even stand up to talk and was very condescending. He said he didn’t have to accept the gift certificate because the company he donated it to was out of business and that was it. Even though we did purchase it and it was valid he said no. He was rude, as was the manager and the other senior staff. His companion at the table just sat there with very mean look as well – no wonder why on a Saturday night at 7PM the restaurant was mostly empty. I see that they are the third owners in as many years – maybe there will be a forth pretty soon, or a new restaurant there soon. I will never go back there again, and suggest if you don’t want to be talked down to and treated like crap, you find somewhere else to go. There are much better steakhouses, with courteous ownership, around.

Unhonorable establishment. I called and reserved a table on Valentine’s Day under the assumption they would honor my restaurant.com $25 gift certificate, because they said so over the phone. When it came time to pay they did not and refused!

Festive Holiday. Was at The Olde Stone Mill this past New Year’s Eve. What a pleasant surprise! The place was so beautifully decorated, tastefully done. The New addition is just beautiful. The doors were open from the new addtiion to the Dining Room, so we were able to hear the great music and still be a part of all the hustle & bustle of the evening. After all it was the Holidays and time for Celebration. it was so apropo ( think I spelled that right) LOL The singer was just fantastic, Dennis Dell I believe. WOW, was he good. We actually got up to dance as well. The food was ABUNDANT, to say the least. Starting with Family style Mussels, Calamari, & Eggplant Rolletini and then Family style Salad, that was just so delish. 🙂 At that point we were full but had more food coming. The choices were all THE BEST OF THE BEST on the Prix Fix Menu. So hard to make a decision. I had the Grilled Veal Chop over Brocooli Rabe & Cannelini Beans. Oh my, talk about comfort food. It was fantastic! WE all couldn’t have been happier with that evening. The martini’s were so good, the music was great, the food was great, the staff was on the money ~ what more could we have asked for? Will definitely be going back next New Years Eve and before then for their wonderful food! I learned there is music there on the weekends, so I plan on returning real soon. Thanks to the staff at The Olde Stone Mill ~ Touche for a Job well done.

Save your money!!!. Met friends at the Old Stone Mill on New Years Eve 12/31/12 for dinner. As we walked in the door my first sight was two waiters arguing behind the bar open for customers to see. We were seated in a sunroom filled with tables and the only heating was a cheap electric heater that resembles a cast iron stove.Appetizers came quickly, the Calamari and the Mussels were good, but the eggplant rollatini was nothing special and cold. The bread was nice a warm. The salad was OK, nothing special. Then the starters came, penne a la vodka and mushroom raviolis loaded with sauce and cold from sitting. My friends ordered the Veal Chop and the Salmon. My wife and I ordered the Shrimp Scampi over rice and the Long Island Duck Breast. The veal chop was a tough Frenched bone in Ribeye (Not Veal). My dish came it was not roasted Duck Breast but 2 chicken legs with orange sauce that I did not eat. My friend’s salmon dish was small and dry and the Shrimp scampi was tough and the rice saturated in a pool of broth. This was my experience dining at The Old Stone Mill. My wife and I are not picky eaters or ones to complain we just would never go back.***** This was a Prefix Dinner for New Years priced at $75.00 per person +tax +tip = $400.00 dollars down the drain.*****PS: My extensive knowledge of food comes from working in restaurants and as a Salesperson for a Major Food distributor. I sold food to restaurants and caterers from produces to exotic meats. (Wild Boar, Elk, Buffalo, Alligator,) also Duck and Veal.
