GREAT LOCATION ….. MAYBE. I have been to this place many times but this last time was a bit different.I took my girlfriend out for a nice view and good food as I have gotten many times before. but this time it seems that X20 has changed a bit usually I come to expect a very well dressed professional crowd. But it seemed as if they have changed their dress code policy as me and my girlfriend felt a bit over dressed. and the panhandling gentleman out side of the door on the pier really didn’t help as this was my girlfriends first time there and I raved about it to her the whole ride down. lets just say she wasn’t impressed.the food was still great but not as good as the times before its like X20 with time has just become average as the exception in the area. The drinks were average and un creative.its a good restaurant just the attention to detail seems to have been lost

Valet Parking. I’ ve been to X2O many times and each time my food experience has been extraordinary, with Peter Kelly being a generous host, especially if we were celebrating a special occasion. The wait staff also couldn’t do enough and was very attentive.I .am writing this review because of the valet parking. For the first time, at least that I noticed, the $ 4 plus in toll and parking change was missing from my glove compartment. I only noticed it because I specifically had the change for the toll on the ride home. I want any readers of this review to be weary of leaving any valuables or cash in the car since I know now, one or more of the attendants can’t be trusted. This certainly can’t take away any of the stars from the food experience.
Excellent Service. I have been to X2O on numerous occasions and I’ve never been disappointed with the food and the service is top notch… a few restaurants could take a cue from the staff at X2O. They are professional, courteous, and attentive. However, on my last visit, me and my girlfriends were seated in the Hudson Room upstairs… I’ve never been in this part of the restaurant and I need to say that next time I make a reservation I will request to be in the main dinning room. This kinda overflow room had the nice views but lacked for everything else. Also, X2O needs to enforce a dress code. No one should be allowed in with ripped jeans and sneakers on.
Was ok. The view was lovely and my rib eye was like butter , But I thought my server was a bit dull . i liked it more then my wife did . It was nice but a shlep to yonkers just for this place ,na . Oh and get ready to drop some real money down . Not for the budgeted type .
Good Food!. I took my boyfriend here to eat one night and was extremely pleased with it. I am vegetarian and there was nothing on the menu really to eat and when I told them I was they created a dish for me and it was delicious! My boyfriend loved his meal and we would both go back!
Pleasant mix. When I get visitor’s from Northern Europe, they expect a good steak in the US. I don’t like chain steak houses, so I instead brought visitors to Xaviers’ twice and each time my meat eating friends were happy with the choice and ambiente. Despite the small steak menu, they loved the food. Veggie and plant lovers have a harder time. I was desperate to get a bowl of leafy greens as a starter and I am not big on cheese in my salad. I ordered the beet salad just to get a flat tray with ricotta and a tiny number of beet pieces nailed into the cheese dish. Please don’t call a salad when it is not! For great veg choices I would come back more often and enjoy the setting. Otherwise I would just bring steak hungry company once a year.Tables in the dining room with sunset or city views have an incredible ambiente. For an elegant eatery this place is surprisingly affordable.
