  DONT EAT THE SALAD…Sand and Dirt:I visited the 6th street location today for the first time with co-workers for lunch. When I received my Cobb salad I notice there was sand and dirt all on my lettuce. I asked my waiter if they wash the lettuce and she couldn’t confirm if they did or not. I was later told that I still would have to pay for it the salad, despite I took one bite. I called the manager over and she was overly rude and told me that there was no dirt, the lettuce was only brown and she was not taking it off my bill. It was the worst experience ever. She basically discredited my proven accusations that I was eating dirt. Total miss communication. I will not return and will tell my 2,000+ financial colleagues in Charlotte about my experience.

  Stopped in for dinner last night with friends. Atmosphere is a sports bar meets a Texas ranch. 🙂 Service was prompt, extremely helpful and friendly. We ordered the 3 item platter to share, choosing ribs, pulled pork and chicken. We all agreed the ribs were the best of the 3 although we would order any one of them again. We also had hush puppies and Mac cheese, both exceeding our expectations.

  Great food, great service. After a week in Charlotte and couple of other BBQ places, we were recommended to the Queen City Q.. The food was excellent and the service was friendly and fast. They made us feel welcomed and I am going back to New Jersey knowing that I had the best BBQ so far. The ribs were amazing, the brisket was to die for and the pork and beans were excellent too. I have no problem recommending this place to anyone I know! Thank you Q for your southern hospitality. John E. New Jersey

  Great food excellent service. This place was great the food was flavorful. The service was excellent. I was impressed that the manager went from table to table to make sure his guest where enjoying their dinner and was happy with the service. I would recommend this place to everyone. I was even more surprised that they even validated our parking ticket. Jersey Mike

  This is by far my favorite place to eat, barely beating out Jim n Nicks in Concord, and legging out Bad Daddy’s Burger Joint in Birkdale by a sizable margin. Queen City Q is amazing barbecue, located in the most beautiful downtown spaces in the world. (I have been to 10 countries and countless cities, I still think Charlotte is the most beautiful downtown space). When the pork arrives at the table, the smoke lines are highly visible, showing the smoke time and care taken into the meet. Topped with a little of the Queen City Q specialty bing vinger based BBQ sauce and you have a plate of the finest cuisine in the world for a moderate price. Got to try this place. And free parking! How could you pass that up?

  We love the bbq pork! Service great.. This is our favorite BBQ pork! I don’t understand negative reviews. We’ve always gone in afternoon but service has been great each time … prompt and friendly and accommodating. We love the mac and cheese as a side with the pork. Our absolute favorite BBQ but then we like pulled pork not the bland shredded stuff other places serve. Very easy to get to from 7th Street parking deck and QC validates.

  Sad to say, but not good.. I’m not one to give negative reviews typically… but time after time the same problems persist. Horrible service and management that is unavailable. I have tried my best to like this place but at this point I am done.
