It is an OK sort of a restaurant… owing to the fact that they were the only Indian cuisine restaurant in the nearest circumference of N Tryon street, they were the most visited place by many Indians…food was not that great per the competition around with non-Indian food… sriparnasthoughts.com
Wrong Direction – Stingy. Spice 9 started out really good, there was good food and value. But over the past year, it’s gotten pathetic. Being stingy! Ive never left a Indian restaurant hungry, but today YES, horrible. Charged me 1$ extra for that speciality rice w/o telling me, and after already running my Ccard. Get to my table, I had just a dab of veggies and tiki Marsalla w/ 3 pieces of chicken in it. (Where’s the value, need some meat!) Naan was rock hard like leather, about pulled my teeth out.I will not be back, for a good while, they need to load the plate up with value like NIRVANA. I will be going to NIRVANA, way more food for the $$!!
Not bad. Just recently heard about this place and decided to try it out. They don’t have that many menu choices but the food they serve is pretty good. My one thing about this place though is the fact that all their food is SPICY!!! So if you don’t have that strong of a palate, I would advise going somewhere else. They’ve also got a bakery in the back area serving pastries. Overall, spicy but tasty!
