This place is amazing! Truffle Mac and cheese, brussels, and tuna tartare. Top 5 place for craft cocktails in Charlotte. Atmosphere is speak-easy style so think 1900’s.

Lagavulin 16 single malt..neat. 1.5 ounces.. Midtown Manhattan NYC =$16, Workmans friend plaza midwood = $16 The cellar at duckworths = $29.50!!!! There is no earthly reason that a scotch in Charlotte marked up over 400% (average bottle $90) should be more than the exact same drink in NYC. Your theme and gimmick are a joke. No music playing but so loud you can’t have a conversation at a two top table. Maybe do a little research on speak easy’s if that was your goal. They served booze during prohibition. The had repeat business because they didn’t rip off their clients (and they served booze). Personally I will never return and will tell everyone I know how back of an experience I had.

Fantastic atmosphere, friendly service, fabulous drinks, and fine dining at its best. If you haven’t been yet, you are missing out. Everything on the menu is amazing, but you have to try the truffle mac & cheese. The cocktails are freshly made and created by the well-trained bartenders to satisfy any tastes. Special drinks and special dishes make The Cellar at Duckworth’s the newest place to be for a wonderful experience.

Tapas style steaks & chops. Terrible concept since all 4 of us received food at different times & the portions weren’t even sliced to share. It was a slow weekday & we asked the manager about it but he said their kitchen was too small to do it any other way. I will not go back due to their systematic oversight of a basic service concept. The waitress was not pleasant or informative or friendly.

This overpriced and under serviced establishment is not worthy of the pompous, judgmental and discriminatory atmosphere that they uphold. Their customer service is unsatisfactory and the management was poorly appointed. My unsavory experience at The Cellar at Duckworth’s ruined a rare occasion to get out of the house and enjoy an evening with old friends. I was personally offended and taken back by the way I was treated by the General Manager. The service industry is simple. (I worked within it for several years in a previous life) The customer is your brand ambassador. They pay your bills and as far as you are concerned, they are never wrong. The customer visits your establishment to pay you for an experience and if you show them appreciation, consideration and exceptional service, your business will prosper. Even if the food and drinks are not up to par, a great experience will outshine food and beverage quality. As far as I am concerned, if you are looking to be profiled or to feel inadequate… You would be better off joining some well-to-do Country Club where you willingly apply and pay to gain access to an elitist social ring. This establishment and the individuals that they employ is not qualified of the heightened social status that they are trying to boast. Do not waste your time or money, Charlotte has far better places to offer than this.
