Pretty tasty food truck. Got 2 tacos but I wasn’t super hungry. 3 is better to be full I think. I got pork belly and buffalo cauliflower tacos and they were both great. Definitely would try again.
I’ve heard and read about Tin Kitchen for a while and recently checked it out. You won’t be disappointed. We had the pork belly sliders, brisket nachos and the bread pudding. The bread pudding was a bit dry and didn’t live up to others we’ve had but we thoroughly enjoyed the sliders and nachos. The brisket…
Wow, I was blown away by the Tin Kitchen after finally tracking down this food truck..definitely as good as a brick and mortar restaurant. I ordered the pork belly taco and buffalo cauliflower slider. The pork belly taco was awesome. While being super simple (just a corn tortilla, pork belly, lettuce, and sauce) all of the flavors went so well together that more ingredients would have likely detracted from it. The sweet hoisin sauce went perfectly with the salty pork belly, the soft corn tortilla was great, and the lettuce/kimchi was fresh. Simple but really good! That said, the buffalo cauliflower slider I ordered was even better! I’m a meat lover, but I wouldn’t mind being vegetarian if every vegetarian dish tasted like this. The charred cauliflower was excellent, and the buffalo sauce soaked in to give it a very nice flavor. The bun was perfectly toasted, the celery slaw was good, and the celery aioli & blue cheese rounded out the slider to make one awesome sandwich. Both things I ordered had perfect flavor combinations, which really makes me think that almost anything from the Tin Kitchen would be good and the chef/owner must really know his stuff. The prices were reasonable ($3 for slider, $2.50 for taco), and my only complaint is that I didn’t order even more.
Can’t Believe I did not write a review earlier. The TIN Kitchen showed up in the Prime Lounge as a venue that has not been previously reviewed. I guess it’s a matter of semantics. The photos posted were by me and were taken at the NC Music Factory. There are blogs and Critic Reviews posted. Just no reviews from others like me.Sorry I did not post a review the day I took the pictures because I though the Critics Reviews and the Blogs covered that. That said, this place is a little wonder on wheels. The food is so good that at times I which they were not mobile so I could find them in the same spot everytime.Have not had a chance to try everything on the menu but that’s because it’s hard to get by the Pork Belly Taco’s. Nice and large and plenty of flavor they quickly become a favorite and you don’t really want to mess with perfection by trying something else.In any case, they folks at The TIN Kichen are very good and while I’ve probably eaten here 7 or 8 times, I’ve never had a bad meal. You owe it to yourself to give them a try. You won’t be disappointed.
