They sneaked in a extra tip a couple of days later. They steal your money. The place was nearby and we went there for a evening out. The sushi was mediocre and the tuna was not fresh. We enjoyed their miso soup but the waiter was barely around and did not help us out when we needed refills. We only saw him twice and then he was cleaning the sushi bar. CAUTION: watch your transaction they charged an extra $5 later as a tip even when we didn’t leave that amount. It showed up a couple days later on our statement. be wary they seem to do this because this was the second time it happened to us.
Rude. Understaffed and the poor hostess kept getting yelled at by the very mean, and did I say rude, manager. Waited 10 minutes after sitting down to get acknowledged and was rushed to put in my whole order immediately. When my friend asked for avocado to be added to her roll, the manager butts in and makes some nasty comment about her changing everything. Got edamame with no plates, silver, or soy sauce. When we asked for soy sauce he slams it on the table and doesn’t give us soy sauce dishes. Absolutely unprofessional and no matter how good the food is, I will never come back. Drive out to metro and get Picses, it’s worth it!

Sorry mom, but when your ears are bombarded by the extreme vulgarity of young, inebriated patrons (tolerated by restaurant employees) someone else needs to be fore-warned. Amid this total disrespect for curious and new patrons, I have to say that my simple stir fry dish was decidedly mediocre, so-called Asian food. Bar service was as expected. But take note: there’s are some places better avoided on the weekends in Uptown Charlotte. And not just because of the average food.
Cosmo is always been my favorite drink, but their Sake Cosmo just blew me away!!! This is my new favorite drink on my top list!!!
Wonderful staff, incredible sushi for all types of budgets. The philly roll is my favorite. Perfect temperature and texture as well as taste. I could eat a hundred! The drunken shrimp roll is definitely worth trying too, and that’s just sushi! They have an immense menu of hot foods which are portioned specific for lunch and dinner. Try their singoporean noodles! And appetizers are great too, some of them (like their spicy tuna balls, mmmmm) are even large enough to constitute as meals! Incredible atmosphere, attentive staff, and savory food choices make EMZY a must to visit.
