OK, but not great. I had fish & chips–I’m half English, and I’ve had this dish from Liverpool to Dover–the fish pieces were too small and thin to be authentic. Flavor was good, but texture was too chewy. Friends enjoyed the oysters, which I don’t eat. They are coming to my home town soon, and I’ll give them one more try.
I’ve been to this location twice with co-works, and I have to say the food is generally very good. Everything else in my experiences, however, has been pretty mediocre.I’ve tried the andouille shrimp pasta, which was excellent, and I have also had the stuffed flounder, which was good but not great. Both dishes were good quality but very small portions and definitely overpriced for what you get. I also have to point out that in my most recent visit the complementary bread was rock hard (literally able to hit it on a plate an not produce crumbs which my co-worker did). Aside from the small portions, I’ve also been pretty disappointed in the service. The food came out fairly slowly on both occasions, especially for business lunches, and the servers have certainly not wow’ed me in any way.
Excellent Valentine’s. My husband and I ate at this establishment for our Valentine’s date tonight. We arrived almost an hour early for our reservation because our event let out earlier then anticipated. They were very accomodating and seated us right away. The atmosphere was great. It was extremely busy, but of course it is Valentine’s in a big city. Our Waitress was wonderful. I wish I could remember her name. It was definitely great service. We had the mussels in wine sauce first for our appetizer and they were delicious. Great flavors with nothing overpowering. For our main course we shared the ultimate grill mix and we both thoroughly enjoyed it. The scallops were a tad bit salty but not so much that it detracted from their flavor. Overall it was a great experience and I would eat there again.
Meal was barely OK and the service was a little slow. We do not plan on returning any time soon.
Ate lunch here after the Thanksgiving parade and it was excellent. Usually don’t go to chains, but this was a pleasant experience. Friendly service, too!
Nothing impressive. My husband and I recently had dinner here and we weren’t overly impressed. We have spent $$$ on many dinners and this place did not live up to the price. The appetizers were ok, but the main course was just bad. Drowning in butter, orzo that must have been cooked that morning. The cake for dessert was so dry it just crumbled before you could get it on your fork. The service was decent but the waiter knew nothing about wine or gin. The wine list was a joke. Many cheap wines sold for $4.99 at the grocery store they are trying to pass off as $40 wines. Not impressed. Won’t go back.
Should have read the reviews prior to visiting this place. Service is the worse I’ve ever seen. Food was not good also served cold management needs training I don’t see this place staying in business much longer.
