Solid Small Town Diner. Nice little meat & 2 diner on the northern edge of Asheboro serving all 3 meals, 6 days a week. They have a daily special or 2, standard menu items like: Chicken Livers, Country Style Steak, Salmon Patties, Country Ham, Grilled Chicken, and Smothered Chicken – runs $5. 29 to $6.99 with 2 veggies and bread. Veggies are the usual suspects. Also usual sandwiches, fried seafood plates ($8 or $9), Spaghetti, and a bowl of Pintos with onions & hushpuppies for $3.49 – really nice.Plates are generally good – Like the Chicken Livers & CS Steak, especially. Fried seafood is a little inconsistent, but when it is good, it is good. Chili dog is not really good – thin chili with a somewhat strange taste, and the onions can be very strong (costs $1,69). Cheeseburger is excellent, great flavor, and priced righat $2.79.Nothing fancy here, food or decor, but solid place with good, friendly service, very reasonably priced. Give it a shot.
